Fully Automatic Petal Antenna
In response to the issues of large weight and low rigidity in large-diameter antenna equipment, which hindered effective installation on light-duty platforms such as containers, Humvees, and Iveco vehicles, our institute leveraged extensive experience in the application of composite lightweight materials. We expanded the scope of its applications and completed a lightweight improvement project for the entire antenna structure. This significant effort resulted in a substantial reduction in the total weight of the antenna, broadened the product's application range, and enhanced our core technological competitiveness.
In 2020, our institute won the bid for four sets of vehicle-mounted 6.3-meter petal antennas. By the end of 2021, these antennas successfully passed military inspection and acceptance tests. They represent the first domestically deployed set of petal-style automatic folding antennas (a total of four sets delivered to users).
